Matriculated Washington University undergraduate students register for Arts & Sciences summer courses through the UC Online registration portal.

How to Register          Registration Portal

Domestic Visiting Students
Undergraduates in good academic standing attending a US college or university are welcome to register through the visiting student program. Prior to registration, we strongly encourage you to consult with your home institution advisor to discuss courses and transfer credit procedures.

International Visiting Students 
International students currently studying on an F-1 or J-1 visa sponsored by a US college or university may register through the visiting student program. You will be required to provide the following official documents before your request is reviewed:

  1. Official I-20 or DS-2019
  2. Official I-94
  3. Official score report from TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test
  4. Transcript of record from home institution

If you have questions about your current visa status, please contact Martha Turner within the Office of International Students and Scholars.

International students not currently studying in the US may receive consideration to register for the visiting student program.

Pre-College Students
Middle and high school students should visit Pre-College Programs to review information about admission and registration.

Summer Session I Begins

Session I is a 3-week session from May 24 - June 11.

Summer Sessions II & III Begin

Session II is a 5-week session from June 14 - July 16. Session III is an 8-week session from June 14 - August 6.

Summer Session IV Begins

Session IV is a 5-week session from July 19 - August 19.

Session 5 (Special Session)

  • If the course meets 3 days or fewer, it must be dropped prior to the start of course for 100% refund. Thereafter, no refund is applied. 
  • If the course meets for 4 calendar days up to 1 week, you have 24 hours after the first class to drop for 100% refund. Thereafter, no refund is applied. 
  • If you are taking a Special Format course (for example, Weekend or Intensive Format) that meets 2 - 4 weeks, you have 48 hours after the first class to drop for 100% refund. Thereafter, no refund is applied. 
  • If the course meets for 5-6 weeks, you have 4 days after the first class to drop for 100% refund, and 8 days after the first class to drop for a 50% refund. Thereafter, no refund is applied. 
  • If the course meets 7 weeks or more, you have 7 days after the first class to drop for 100% refund, and 14 days after the first class to drop with a 50% refund. Thereafter, no refund is applied.

Additional registration details

Independent Study: Written proposal is required for independent work. Registration and Refund deadlines may vary. Call (314) 935-6495 for more information.

The last day to drop without a W-Withdrawal is the same as the 100% refund date for all courses.

Lab Fee Refunds: Lab Fees are refunded only if the course is dropped during the 100% tuition refund period or if the course is canceled.

Summer 2021 Tuition & Fees

Arts & Sciences L Courses

  • Undergraduate: $1180/unit ($3540/3-unit course)
  • Graduate: $1420/unit ($4260/3-unit course)

Potential Additional Fees (subject to change)

  • Lab / Materials Fees – $15 - $350
  • Late Registration – $50
  • Late Payment – 5% of the outstanding balance (minimum $50)
  • Returned Check – $25

Payment Options

WashU Undergraduate Students

Choose the payment options that work for you (i.e. Bill Me, scholarship, financial aid, military benefit, graduate remission, etc.). Students who select Bill Me will receive an electronic billing statement, accessible by logging in to WebSTAC. Generally, the outstanding balance is due on or near the 20th of the following month, unless other arrangements have been made.

Domestic Visiting Students

Registrations are to be paid in full to secure a seat in a course. Students may pay by debit/credit card or provide an approved alternate method of payment (i.e. financial aid consortium agreement, military benefit, etc.). At this time, we cannot accept check or cash payments.

International Visiting Students

Registrations are to be paid in full to secure a seat in a course. Students may pay by debit/credit card or by wire transfer through Flywire, a leading provider of electronic payment solutions.
